Redwood Market Research & Innovation was founded by Karen Waterworth. Karen works with a network of consultants and specialists, according to the specific requirements of each particular project.
Karen Waterworth Background & Qualifications
Karen has over 15 years experience in Market Research and Marketing Innovation. She started at Research International in 1995 and trained in all aspects of Market Research, both qualitative and quantitative. She joined Unilever in 1997 and worked on a number of different well-known brands in both Research Planning and Marketing Innovation on a European and then a Global scale. She left Unilever in 2004 and has been working since then as Research & Innovation consultant both in the UK and Singapore. She is currently based in Singapore.
Karen has a passion for understanding people and what makes them tick! Hence her love of qualitative research and consumer insight. This, combined with her experience working in marketing as a manager of multi-country innovation projects, means she is extremely well placed to offer not only insightful research, but also practical recommendations on how to solve marketing issues and drive brand growth.
Since becoming a consultant Karen has worked on a wide range of projects for a variety of large organisations including Unilever, Philips, Masterfoods, Johnson & Johnson, Vodafone, Bacardi, Kao Brands (John Frieda), Royal Bank of Scotland, Axa Insurance and the Carbon Trust. Work for these organisations has included qualitative research to generate and optimise innovation and communication ideas, brand respositioning and strategy development. For several of these companies, Karen has also run training courses on insight mining and the use of insight in brand innovation and communication.
Karen has a Masters Degree specialising in Human and Social Geography from Oxford University and is an Associate Member of the Market Research Society. |
